Reviews Summary for DEO RG-2000U
DEO RG-2000U Reviews: 1 Average rating: 5.0/5 MSRP: $$38.98
Description: Receivers can also be damaged by RF. This is a series of
diode-activated switching devices which will switch the
antenna automatically to ground in the presence of a high-
power RF field. The unit has a very low insertion loss. This
device has a replaceable protection element. The RG2000U
uses standard SO-239 connectors (mates with PL-259s) for
input and output. It is made in USA.
Product is not in production.

better to have it!  Time owned: more than 12 months
I have had this device for 15 years or so. The unit is made with few components. As I needed some more of them I made similar units for my-self. The price is a bit high in my opinion but it is built to last hundreds of years. The unit can be easily opened to replace the lamp in the case it is needed. Connectors are very stable in the case and the unit has a negligible loss that I cannot see on the s-meter, at least for HF. I use separate receivers so it is a kind of insurance. Better to replace a lamp rather than repair a front-end.
