Didn't handle the wind  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I just put this antenna up over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was mounted on my mast approx. 35' high. SWR's were great, got good signal reports etc....However, today, the big storm to hit Cali did it in.It blew 35mph or so. The top section got bent to a 90 degree angle. Fortunately, I got it on sale at HRO for $40. Time to find a new antenna!

Good monoband antenna  Time owned: more than 12 months
I've had this antenna for 2 years and am very satisfied with it. It has withstood 115 mph winds from hurricane Ike and an indirect lightning strike. It shows no sign of corrosion in the humid Houston air. It is mounted on a 30 ft. mast, I have worked repeaters more than 100 miles away using an Icom 28A and 50ft of RG-213 coax. SWR's are 1.1 to 1 across the entire band except at the very bottom which is 1.2 to 1. Eventually it will be replaced with a comet X500NA for use with an IC-7000, and put away as an emergency backup. I would recommend this antenna for anyone looking for a decent 5/8 wave 2m antenna for a great price.
