Great little portable shortwave antenna  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I was very wary of buying this antenna but I wanted something a bit better than a whip antenna and a pre-amp for use with my Lowe HF-225 while I am moving houses and had to have all my antennas and shack down by orders of the realtor! It is only 4 metres of wire connected to 4 metres of coax via a 9 to 1 balun but it works fantastic, I initially used it with my Palstar AA-30 pre-selector but found it totally unnecessary, the antenna straight into the mixer stage of the Lowe provided the best signal to noise ratio. I thought it was a little expensive at $80, but have changed my tune, 30 seconds to put the antenna up and take it down and have great reception just 10 feet of the ground. Very happy wit this product
