Hex-Beam for ferrites ! THEE RFI SOLUTION !  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
the world famous Hex-Beam company, also sells some neat antenna accessories. i needed to suppress an RFI problem i had with an OCF dipole. Mind you, I am running 1KW often within 50 feet of my home. I tried all kinds of baluns, and coiling the coax, ect. then, i found Hex-Beam as I was considering purchasing one. another ham had suggested I try their line of ferrites. Now the XYL does not complain about RFI affecting her computer mouse or the TV..even while running full 1KW power. All RFI is gone with 10 #77 ferrits that fit my LMR 400 perfactly. If you are have any RFI problems, I believe it will do the trick for you. I placed the ferrites about the coax within 10 feet where the coax enter the wall of my house. Thank you Mike for solving my problem.
