A very dependable and well made unit.  Time owned: more than 12 months
This 2252RA was purchased back in August of 1998 to replace a Henry 100 watt unit that had become trouble prone.

I am happy to report that the 2252 RA has performed without fail to date. It has survived living in a remote commercial transmitter building that has suffered loss of HVAC at times as well as commerical power issues, etc.

The 2252 employs 5 MRF-648 transistors in a 1 driving 4 configuration. In our case, 5 watts of drive returns 200 watts out, and 15 watts in will give you 250 watts out.

While I have read of many folks having difficulty with factory service, I have not needed that for this unit as of yet.

I did have a less than perfect factory experience with a similar 50mhz unit, but things were eventually resolved.

I have owned several TE products, and would recommend them as one of the better constructed units on the market.

Please note that my rating of 4/5 is solely due to the possible issues should factory service be needed. I understand that TE does a lot of Government/Military work, which gets priority at times.
