Reviews Summary for Rf-Systems DX-One
Reviews: 1 Average rating: 4.0/5 MSRP: $400
Description: The DX - one electronic antenna is an omni-directional
active antenna which had been designed to receive signals
coming in under any angle and from any polarisation. The DX
- one offerred constant sensitivity over the frequency range
from 50 kHz to 50 MHz, and could be used for monitoring from
20 kHz to 75 MHz. The indoor unit was equipped with a
switchable MW wave rejection filter, a gain control and can
feed two receivers. Each receiver can be tuned and operated
as if it is connected to its own antenna, since there is no
mutual interaction. The DX - one was developed to meet
military specifications.
Product is not in production.

Great! But not for everybody!  Time owned: more than 12 months
This is the best active antenna in the world. Probably one of the best antenna available! However this is not for everybody! Expensive yes, but it needs a small mast if you put on the roof (2 meters high is enough!), so it is VERY CHEAP to install it! This is a SUPERB antenna. Longawaves are incredible! No other antenna is so clear I believe! MW excellent, SW low noise and huge signals! Fading is also less evident than other antennas.
I found two drawbacks by the way!
- in my urban area with huge FM stations is overloaded, so noise is spead all over the spectrum. I did then move it to another QTH with no nearby stations and works superbly.
- There is no technical manual. No scheme is provided, no values are given to check the antenna! And the pipe cannot be opened!
