Basic real time weather  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Real time weather info at your home location at a glance on a clear screen 60mm by 150mm.The weather info consists of barometric pressure current and trend over the last 12 hours with a rising/falling indicator.A weather forecast pictorial display.Inside/outside temp and humidity with min/max indication. The moon phases are also shown.
Now for the ZS1JHG test :
The unit was easy to set up taking two Alkaline AA cells and the remote sensor two AAA cells. It would have been better if one size fits all dry cells were used. The setting up of the time, date works on the usual loop system,so if you mess up you have to cycle through all settings again. Not my favourite. The remote sensor once powered up is auto detected by the base station and outside readings quickly obtained, better than another similar make.
The outside and inside temp readings were compared to correctly calibrated thermometers and found to agree. The barametric reading was checked to a calibrated Barometer and a local Met Station nearby and found to be accurate.
The plastic of the base and sensor seems of good quality and the display/adjustment buttons have a positive feel.
The supplied base unit stand is disappointingly flimsy and will need to be supplemented with a larger perspex/acrylic base, however the base unit can also be hung via a rear mounting slot. The base unit is equiped with multiple green LED backlighting and the display was easily read with all lights turned off at night.
For a basic weather station at a reasonable price
it is worth considering
