Does not perform as advertised  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
The Amidon Type 1 powdered iron toroid in this kit is specified for use from 0.5 MHz to 5 MHz. The low permeability of 20 provides little choking reactance per turn. Since losses increase above 5 MHz and there's insufficient choking reactance below 4 MHz, it shouldn't be used over the advertised frequency range.
