Great for limited budget stations.  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
This headset is your typical cheap computer sound-card lightweight headset, but these have very good receive and transmit audio characteristics. They are comfortable and work great with my FT-950 through a home-brew interface that allows the use of an electret microphone element. (Voltage is taken from the microphone connector.) Rig mic gain is set between 9 and 10 o’clock, so there is plenty of drive from the mic. It’s unknown if this headset is RFI prone, because my interface box has been in use with other headsets for over a year with filtering already in place. This headset is different from the norm, because the mic boom comes off the right side earphone instead of the left. Logitech makes many headsets, so your mileage may very. If you pick another style, read and compare microphone sensitivity specs.
