Antenna junkie here. I have about fifteen antennas for scanners and HTs, not including the rubber duckies that come with our radios.

Some of these, like the Diamond SRH77CA and the Watson WSMA-889, were purchased after seeing enthusiastic reviews of their scanner performance.

However this Watson WSMA-881 made a noticeable difference immediately compared to the antennas above. From my basement radio shack, police and fire signals in the 800mHz range have become markedly less fluttery and near full-quieting. This junkie will be buying more of them.
