This review is an update to the previous review rated 'needs help'. After replacing the weak filter caps rated at 6800uf @ 25 VDC with 6800uf @ 50 VDC the power supply appears reasonaby reliable! Fact is with the original 25 vdc capacitors I measured 26 vdc at 1 amp load with a quality digital volt meter! The power supply heat sinks are quite small for the current rating, however, with the capacitor mods the power supply would be rated a heavy duty unit if kept in the 20 amp category. In fact, has double the pass transistors and a lot more transformer than an Astron RS20 which is rated 16 amps continuous & 20 amps intermittent. But, is it reasonable to replace the filter caps in a new product!
