This is the single best reference text that a VHF/UHF weak signal operator can own. This isn't just one of those collections of construction articles - it is a comprehensive treatise on anything and everything related to working distant stations on the VHF/UHF bands. It reads well, and I know that I, personally, learned a lot about receiver design from this book.
