Too stiff, hard to press  Time owned: more than 12 months
I purchased one of these because I happened to be in a music store and remembered that I wanted one. I've used it for a number of years, and it's like an ol' dog, keeps hanging around. The switch itself is a large heavy brass strip that makes contact with a piece of wire. The thing was exceedingly hard to press, but I popped the cover and removed the internal spring, and the switch leaf itself has enough pressure to return the foot pad without help. In fact, it's greatly improved WITHOUT the spring. It's hard to improve on if this is what you need.
