Fantastic  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Very happy with both the quality and speed of service from Dave's company. Packing and shipping 50 pounds of a TS-930 should not be taken lightly, but Dave's custom box fit the rig like a glove. I almost look forward to sending more radios out for repair.

Excellent Box & Materials With Supurb Service  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I recently purchased a shipping box from Dave to house and ship my big, heavy Icom 9000L receiver for repair. I was so impressed with this heavy duty box and the quality foam inserts that hold the receiver in place in the inner box. It was everything I had hoped for and more.

The box was made out of heavy duty cardboard for both the inner and outer box. Custom foam inserts hold the radio firmly in place. But these foam inserts have properly spaced cut-outs for the main knob, rear fan and other small knobs so as not to disturb them or adversely affect them. It is better than the original Icom shipping box which I still have. And it was delivered in a very timely way.

Excellent product and service!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I just received my shipping box for my Icom IC-765. I sent Dave the original factory inner carton which didn't come with the styro inserts. He fabricated custom made foam inserts to exactly match the rig's front panel knobs and cabinet. The original factory outer shipping box was shredding and in rough shape so he built a very hefty corrugated outer shipping box that looks like it could withstand an assault by a Sherman tank! Much thicker cardboard than the original box. He even put a label inside with my name and rig so it would be returned to me after I had shipped it out. Excellent product, fast reasonable service. If you need custom made shipping boxes for your beloved radio, I highly recommend Dave's ham radio box service.(No - I was not paid for this).

Absolutely the BEST!!!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I just received a custom-made shipping box for my Kenwood TS-950SDX. Dave did a fantastic job in fabricating a product that fits my radio with precision. In my opinion the material quality meets, and in some cases exceeds that of the manufacturer. If you need a shipping box to ship your equipment back to the factory for service, don't waste your time trying to track down an original mfg. box. Contact Dave for a great product that is very reasonably priced.

Dave Makes GREAT BOXES!!  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
Dave made me a box to ship my Collins 32V-2 to Howard Mills in for restoration. I had Dave send the box to the guy I purchased the 32V from and he in turn sent the box with my 32V to Howard. I will try to make a long story short. Dave jumped on getting me the box made and sent off to the guy I bought the 32V from. Howard received the 32V in good condition. After Howard Mills was done restoring my 32V Howard emailed me saying he wanted me to buy a box from Dave to ship the 32V back to me in. After I reminded Howard that I had already purchased a box from Dave at his request and that he had received my 32V in Dave's box, Howard found that his Grandchildren were playing with the box in his barn or somewhere. Howard is a VERY difficult person to deal with and I have already explained my experience with Howard Mills in a review on his attitude towards his customers in a previous review. Howard could sure use some lessons from Dave Haller on customer relations for sure. Well, UPS was chosen by ME to ship the 32V back from Howard. When the box came in it was in nice condition but the top lid of the 32Vwas caved in and badly bent, some of the Daka Ware knobs were cracked, the glass in the meters were cracked, and more items were damaged badly. UPS must have dropped the box off of the back of one of their trucks because there should have been no way to damage my 32V in Dave's box. After contacting Howard about the damage and him going into a ABSOLUTE RAGE on the phone with me, I contacted Dave. Dave immediately replaced the original shipping box with an even heavier built box so that when I find another 32V-2 cabinet to ship off to someone OTHER than Howard Mills to be painted, I have a new box to ship it in. Dave is a wonderful guy who understands customer service and makes the best boxes possible to ship your heavy and large ham gear in. I wouldn't use anyone else but Dave for a shipping box, PERIOD!!

The very solid box is a good protection against damage. It is a great product. I have a good feeling when my KWM2 is sent from Europe to the United States and back again.

Excellent and Needed Product  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
Dave has a great product. Would not want to ship my Collins S-Line any other way. Better safe than sorry. Protects the Collins Radios very well. Have tried them out and they work great. If you are going to invest in Collins then invest in quality shipping boxes so your radio's have a much less chance of getting damaged.
