honeymoon is over  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
I wrote the first review on the FT-3000 and
I stand by my original thoughts.
But upon using the rig for several weeks
it really has an outstanding reciever.
and looks very good
But i feel the spectrum screen (panadaptor)
is all but useless. the screen as i said before
is 3" long and 1/2" high ,so the siginals are
virtualy unseable!
and even very strong siginals barely stand out over the baseline.
yes there is an IF out on the back , but than one has to add $400-$500 worth of gear to have a useable panadaptor.
Rember the FT-3000 was advertised as
"Having a panadaptor" but there was no word about it being useless.
Dont forget this rig is selling for $2700
and for that price the thing should have what they say
Just my thoughts, thanks "Rich"

Product is in production.
