YES! Now DX-signals are there!

Yesterday I installed the HEXBEAM on my roof and my first impression was and still is: GREAT and IMPRESSIVE! Works like a charm and lightens up my world between 10 and 20m.
[ANTENNA and MATERIAL]
The antenna-material is very, very good prepared, every part was there and e.g. marked and numberes for easy assembly. You canīt go wrong!
The first assembly of the antenna takes more than described in the installation advice. We needed about 3 hrs but we were working very calm... :-)
If the "pre-assembling" is done and you intend to use the antenna e.g. for portable Iīm sure one person can assemble the antenna in less than one hour. And if you donīt work as calm as we did :-)
In my opinion the antenna is a very good option because it has no Cīs and Līs whic can oxidate - just wires, some nuts and the poles. Great!
The SWR was flat and wide on every band depending on the distance between the ground and the antenna. When the antenna is up a few meters (e.g. 5-10m) it starts working 100% good.
Before I worked with wire-antennas and my vertical cushcraft R7. I can say: about 60% of "real DX"-Spots I never heard properly on my R7 vertical. But now: the band is much more quiet compared to the R7 plus the gain of the HEX.
I worked a North-American station with the HEX and got a 58. With the vertical he could hear me talking but not read. I turned to the opposite direction and got some 53/54. That means to me: at least 24dB less on the "backside" of the antenna.
I like it and its a very very good, performant and payable option if you donīt have a big mast and huge space for heavy antennas like Optibeams or so. I placed my HEX up onto a regular TV-antenna mast, about 3m above my roof. The rotator is mounted directly under the antenna on top of the mast. Very simple. For protable itīs a great option too because the weight is about 10kg.
SP7IDX was very communicative in all questions and answered e-mails very quick.
Hear you on HF with your HEXBEAM :-)
