Great performing radio  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
With the Model 539 Argonaut VI, Tentec has created a QRP transceiver combining simplified controls and ease of operation with excellent performance of a low first IF ham-band architecture in a compact, mobile-friendly structure. The analog portion is double conversion with IF frrequencies of 9 MHz and 22 kHz. A third conversion to zero-frequency IF is accomplished by the DSP processor.

As I have this radio on the desk, I can truly say the receive audio using the built-in speaker is simply outstanding quality audio. Using the Tentec hand mike and the internal DSP Speech Processor, the transmit audio reports are "great audio". The DSP system incorporated in receive easily goes to 100 Hz BW with no ringing on the CW note. The Auto Notch quicklly kills any hetrodyne in the SSB mode. Interface to the computer is via standard USB control and easily interfaces with current software such as HRD and fldigi with ease. Using the Tentec 712 soundcard interface will get one on any of the digital modes within a few minutes and there's no fiddling with cables, knobs or adjustments outside of the Windows environment.

A QRP winner in my book.
Product is in production.
