FANTASTIC  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
This is a very fine transceiver. The scope is small but you can find stations easily by looking for the maximum blip. For fine tuning, there is a waterfall display. This radio has a built-in CW decoder and DATA encoders and decoders. The transceiver comes with the remote control keypad for easier memory encoding. You can not use a keyboard directly on this transceiver, like on the Icom IC-7600, unless you use a keyboard through a computer. There is a USB port of the rear of the radio which allows remote control using CAT commands from a computer. Of all the radios I have owned, this is one of the best, next to my IC-7600. I have owned all the Ten-Tec line transceivers and this transceiver, in my opinion, has the edge over all of them plus the Orion II (which is greatly over rated, and I finally sold). The FTDX-3000 really breaks up the DX pile-ups.
Product is in production.
