It works.   Time owned: 0 to 3 months
Well for about $60 I got a two band HT, three batteries and the other stuff I need. I read the reviews here (very helpful) so knew what I was getting into. Went to the web and downloaded Chirp. Using the caveman technique I was able to get the radio programmed with local repeater frequencies in about 15 minutes. Now I have something to monitor the local machines around the house. It works!

If I were a serious FM op, this would not be the radio I'd lean on. But for the price it's a pretty good radio. Expect to fiddle with things like drivers and software although I had minimal issues. For the money it's a good deal.
Product is in production.
