As good as anything else  Time owned: 3 to 6 months
From the reviews I've seen here and elsewhere, I guess there must be some sort of quality control issue with the company. I got a good one. A very good one. Like any HT, an aftermarket antenna improves performance, but the stock one isn't that bad. For $39 on Amazon, less than the cost of a Kenwood battery alone, I got a dual band HT, drop-in charger and earphone/mic. I also got a programming cable (same as a Kenwood) and software for another $8. I recommend spending the extra $8. Battery seems to last as well as any I've had in a Kenwood and Yaesu. Seems to work just the same as units costing 8 times more, but the scanning feature does seem slow compared to others. I can't really find fault with the thing.
Product is in production.
