For the money you cannot go wrong. Buy from a US dealer though. I have this HT in my go bag and am thinking of buying 2 more, one for strictly scanning use and another for EOC ops. The radio is built better than expected. No its not IPX7 but would not be for the price. The antenna needs to be replaced, but for a 3.95 adapter you can sport any number of BNC's you have lying around. BTW the Wouxan cable and the ear bud/mic are interchangeable between radios. Where can you get a 1700 Ma battery as a standard feature on an HT? for this price. Alinco is trying to compete with Wouxan with their DJ-57T in the 119.00 price range which is good to see, for the money its a good emergency HT. you get what you paid for it, and some more. More competition may cause the big 3 to rethink the market and sell a better product for the same amount of money or with a few perks thrown in. Why not?
Product is in production.
