The best 2m deal out there  Time owned: 6 to 12 months
The Baofeng UV-5R is simply the best deal currently available for VHF handhelds. Is it perfect? No, but it is very usable -- and for under $50, it is a steal of a deal. Some users have complained about difficulty programming this radio. I have not had any major issues. Yes, the menu system takes practice to master, but it is not difficult. Overall, the Baofeng UV-5R is like a good pickup truck: It might not be fancy, but you can use it and abuse it every day and not worry if it gets scratched.
Product is in production.
