The Receiver is A Work of Art!  Time owned: 0 to 3 months
This is likely the best receiver for a Morse-Mad radioholic like myself. How the geniuses at Elecraft designed this 'Field Station in a Can' that can fit in a coat pocket (almost) and operate on "AA" batteries is beyond me - and I know a thing or two about good engineering.

This just became my 'Big Rig'.

Example: During the mayhem of this weekend's CW contest, my friend and I were able to hold our normal sked on 20 meters KX3 to my one day old KX3 with filters clamped down to 50Hz (and usable there...) while kiloWatts raged all around and us threading the needle with 5 or 10 Watts to wire antennas of humble design in the middle of this Olympics of Jamming.

Impressive!
