I Love it!

I have had the IC 91AD for 18 months and it has been a great HT in all respects. I gave the IC91AD to a family member as an excuse to purchase the IC92AD. I programmed it out of the box without the instruction manual, having done the learning curve with the '91AD. This underscores the similarity of the radios. Like the 91AD the build quality of the '92AD is outstanding. Like most HT's the multi function
keys can be perplexing until one gets the feel of the radio down pat.
I packed this HT off to New Zealand, Guam and Saipan and had a ball working the local repeaters. Battery life is excellent, and I never ran out of power for day long operations.
If I had to knit pick anything, it would be the
battery charger. The BC167A charger for the IC91AD has been replaced with an even larger, heavier BC167NA. This weighs about the same as the entire HT. A small gripe, and not one that should stand in the way of this review.
Great job Icom!
