Not that scary!			Time owned: 6 to 12 months
I have been watching the reviews of this radio virtualy since Yaesu released it to the public. So 12/07 I bought one. Now I have seen all the scary voodoo whodoo impressions of this radio. I decided to wait and see how it worked out for me. First off, you must spend time with this radio, you do not marry a woman without going on a few dates to see if you can coexist. you must do the same thing with radio. Two identical radios coming down the same assembly lines will act slightly differnt. They each have a personality if you will. Now personaly, I realy like this radio. I like the looks, I like the feel, but most of all I like the performance. I have been running a hundred watts into a homemade inverted vee up about 30 feet at the apex. I have not found many pileups that I was not successful at making the contact. I like the notch, the contour,and the filtering in general. Every day I learn something new about this radio. I saw several reviews where someone owned the radio for a day or two and then judged it as junk. I would not like people to judge me the first time we meet, would you? But just give it a chance, I think you will be glad you did. Good Luck and 73'
