Two often used Ham Radio misnomers: "End Fed Dipole" and "Off Center Fed Dipole" If you don't believe this, please look up "misnomer" and "dipole" in the dictionary?

Staying up late, that's what I do. Keeping my feet warm with heat from my tubes. Listening and chatting all through the night. Keeping the QSO's interesting without getting into fights. Never a dull moment, even when the bands go quite. That's usually my Que to nap after getting excited.

Ham Radio is probably the only hobby where you can have a piece of equipment struck by lightening, ie., junk and sell it for over 1/2 of its original value!

I never realized there were so many rude and condescending hams out there until I started reading the comments in the forums.

Wish we didn't have so much political hate talk on the bands. I'd much rather talk about Ham Radio!
