One mistake in article, author states testing for a license is free.

The VEC giving the tests at HAMvention does NOT charge a fee for those taking tests, so the article IS correct.

Admission Fee is not FREE so it does cost something since they will not allow anyone in just for testing & think they will leave as soon as the test session is over.Now that we have settled that one what's next?

We are talking about taking tests here. True, HAMvention might be charging admission to the expo itself, but the VEC is NOT charging those who are taking tests.
