SOLD!I'm selling a classic solid-state commercial-grade Motorola N1274A VHF (136-150.8 MHz) amplifier, originally designed for mobile use but works fine in fixed installations as well. It would work great for boosting the output of an HT, with an appropriate antenna of course. I used it with my Yaesu FT-5DR and easily hit repeaters 50+ miles away using a J-Pole antenna.

This thing is built like a brick and will probably outlive all of us. :-)

This amp accepts from 1 to 5 watts input and even though it's rated at 40 watts, I measured output up to 70 watts, depending on input wattage. It requires PL-259 connections for input and output (cables not provided). The amp requires 13.6 VDC input, and current draw varies from 5 to 12 Amps depending on output wattage. Power cable is included with Andersen PowerPoles installed.

The amp automatically turns the RF section on and off with an RF sensing circuit using a built-in relay on the board, drawing virtually no power when it's inactive. It has a 5 stage RF output filter design with coils and capacitors for excellent transmission and no secondary RF emissions.

I'm asking $50 firm plus $15 shipping (PayPal accepted). No returns or refunds are offered on amplifiers and I only ship to verified PayPal or registered FCC addresses in the USA.

Feel free to send me a message if you have further questions.
