The Collins R-389, covers 15 Khz through 1500 Khz. The tuning is motor driven, and the receiver automatically switches RF selectivity depending on frequency. It is the VLF companion to the R-390. The receiver has been checked out by Howard Mills, W3HM. The tubes checked, (weak tubes replaced) and is fully functional. No other work has been done. The rig can be picked up at the QTH of Howard Mills, W3HM, outside Harper’s Ferry WV. Alternatively, the buyer can make his own shipping arrangements. Serious buyers please- additional photos on request. Pricing: $2000 w/o cab, $2100 with cabinet. Payment via cash or USPS money order only.
