Ten Tec MR-1
« on: February 23, 2010, 03:35:53 PM »

Hi I just bought a Ten Tec MR-1 tranciever already built. It seems to recieve very good. I don't seem to get any output on it though. Is there any way you can help me? I have the original scematics drawn in 1967 and the wireing diagram. This also has the external 10 watt P.A. that is mounted on top in amother box. According to the instructions the meter on the front should swivle about three quarters of the reading. All it does when I key it is go up about a 1/16th of an inch. When I hook up the antenna through the P.A. I can barely reciever and nothing else happens to the meter. Any help would be wecomed and appreciated.

Hi -
My understanding is that the MR-1 is the kit version of the PM-1 (PowerMite 1).  There may be more information out there on the PM-1.  A call to Ten Tec may be helpful, and you could also search the TenTec reflector for info, or join the reflector and ask your specific question.
