Alliance HD 73 rotor

Can I use and  eight wire control box with this rotor?
 There is an eight inch stub hanging from the rotor but
two wires are hanging loose. Looks as if they were never used.

The HD-73 uses 6 wire cable. You can use 8 wire cable and leave two wires disconnected.

You CANNOT use an "eight wire control box" like the controller for a HAM-4 rotator with an HD-73. They are completely different and incompatible. Only the control box designed for the HD-73 will work.
