Support of EMAs, Hospitals, etc
« on: July 23, 2015, 05:57:46 AM »

As for the local EMAs, hositals, etc. that had NavyMARS calls, what is going to be the status as to being able to continue to use their Winlink systems with MARS calls? I would think it would behoove MARS to let these partners know so that if they in fact are going to drop participation, they can plan accordingly.

As a side note, every time we tried to use our EMA or hospital MARS calls and frequencies on Winlink, it seemed the RMS stations were never there.... we reverted to amateur calls and frequencies.

Scott, great question.  Navy Marine Corps MARS' parent headquarters, NCTAMSLANT, drafted and sent a message to civil agencies currently being supported by NMCM notifying them of the way ahead for how they may obtain contingency HF communications support.
