Don Gerard, Weaverville, CA
« on: July 27, 2015, 12:15:50 PM »

Hi,
I am looking for anyone who can remember Don Gerard (sp?) who lived in Weaverville, CA in the early sixties. I think he went from there to work for the State of California in the Communications Department.

I visited his radio shack when I was probably 10 years old, with my father.  I wish I could remember his call sign.

Thank you for anything you can do to help me connect with Don.

I found a JOHN D. GUERARD who held the call sign W6RNA and later K4IMG.
He went by the name 'Don'. I'll let you google the rest.
Good luck.

Don Guerard worked for me for 6 yrs (abt. 1985-1991). I was the communications director for the city of Alhambra,Ca. We were good friends. I left Alhambra in 1991 for the city of Ontario, Ca and retired in 1995. I'm sorry to say, Don passed away about 6 yrs ago. I bought a QRP kit for him a few months before and he actually died from a heart attack while building it at his bench. A great guy, a hard worker, and always willing to help someone.
