Worked them at 0012 on 24897 - they had a great signal and their CW op(s) are excellent. Good luck!

Hi, Rich!  I got them on 12m SSB yesterday, also.  Found that my HF-2V would load up with the autotuner on that band, so I got a new band country.  Competition on 80m was too fierce for me last night, so I'm hoping to get 80m this weekend perhaps.

I went back to my old (pre-cluster days) habit of tuning and listening rather than reacting to a cluster post. Last night I set my dial to 3503 and puttered around the shack until I heard their first CQ. I was surprised - only one other fellow did the same, and we both got them on 80 before the massive pileup started.

With a little pistol station, that's the only way I can compete on 80M. Only 14 more to go on 80 for 5BDXCC. Yahoo!

Nice going, Rich.  It's always more fun to work a new one you've found yourself.  With a rare DX station with a decent signal, all it takes is one cluster spot to turn the frequency into a snarling pileup.  I do appreciate the spots put out by some of the 80m regulars: K9DX, W8JI, W1MK, W1NH.  Many of these don't generate large pileups for the simple reason that these guys hear stuff that most of us can't.
