Arduino Rotator Controller??
« on: November 11, 2015, 06:36:30 PM »

Hi - I have no experience with Arduino, but have become very  interested in the subject and and want to start a project using Arduino technology and learn more about the subject. I'd like to start with a Rotor controller that will interface with my PC and programs like HRD. I have a HamIV rotor and a CDR controller box. Is there anyone who has built such a project or can point in the right direction??

I'm away from the QTH for a few days but I think I saw that project in one of my Arduino books about Ham radio...

I'll check tomorrow and post if I find it...unless someone else can provide the information.

OK, it is in the book, "Arduino Projects for Amateur Radio," by Purdum and Kidder.

I have built one designed by K3NG and use it on my AZ/EL Yaesu Rotator for more than a year now.  It works great.

FoxDelta has it in kit form, but PIC based. Use "PstRotator" software for tracking.
