Datron RAT1000 Antenna Tuner
« on: December 07, 2015, 08:24:07 PM »

I need a Datron RAT1000 Antenna Tuner with the memory option. I finally got my TW1000 1kW amplifier working. Turns out a solder connection had failed on the amplifier ALC board. It was a simple 5-minute repair once I found it.

Unfortunately, my LDG AT-1000 Pro II tuner is not fast enough for ALE. If the match takes longer than roughly 500ms, the amplifier protection circuit drops the two amplifier modules out of the circuit, and the TW7000 output is sent directly from the amplifier input (J1) to the output (J2). The TW7000 ALC will drop the power back, and the LDG AT-1000 Pro II will tune, and the TW7000 will pump out 100W for the remainder of the call.

The ALE board in the TW7000 on a linking call, makes two calls on each channel. If the external amplifier is selected what happens is that the first call is at 100W, and the second call is at a full 1Kw.

If any of you know where I can pick up an operational RAT1000 please let me know.
