bias/screen transformer
« on: December 19, 2015, 02:31:48 PM »

The T103, the bias/screen transformer has gone out in my johnson thunderbolt. I assume this is a killer for the amplifier unless a donor can be found. Any chance there is another replacement that can be found?

I would say no more than $130, probably less than. I have had about three made, and my friends had theirs made at Heyboer.

Jan -
That estimate is good, my Heyboer transformer work runs $75 to $125.
The prices rise when you get into multiple taps -- or special fabrication requests.

A transformer for a Tube Tester is probably the highest cost, requiring estimate.

As far as calling Monday --
remember we are coming into a 2-week Christmas/New Years holiday.
Logistical shipping is a real mess until early January.
