No DMR yet, a digital standard for MARS operation has not yet been developed. It will come along soon, my guess it will be more like P25 than DMR but I might be wrong. When digital comms start I am willing to be it will be with some type of encryption.

I'd put my money that P-25 it is.  The US government has invested a lot of our money in P-25 infrastructure.
