6 Meter Arduino Radio
« on: April 08, 2016, 10:47:12 AM »

Hello everyone,

I think it was the March edition of QST that had a really fascinating article on building anArduino-based QRP CW rig for 40 meters.  I know that the heart of the radio was the forty-9er transceiver kit, which was built for 40 meters.  Does anyone know of a similar transceiver for 6 meters?  I'd like to build a fairly simple 6 meter CW kit.

Thanks in advance.

The guy who ran Small Wonder Labs (before he retired) did a conference presentation on why you don't see 6M kits.
Bottom line--it is really hard to meet spectral purity requirements with a simple kit.

Change the few things in the 49'r to make it run at 6m. Which would be the tank on the rx front end, lpf on tx front end and likely the tx transistors to something with a higher transition like in the 500->1000mhz range.
