Yes, I have been a member for several years now. I am 75860 in the roster numbers. I have not worked many 10-10 people in awhile as 10 is not in real good shape most of the time now. Once in awhile also you will hear contests that they have, they are listed in QST. Lots of fun when 10 is open. 73. Jim W5JJG

Joined and got a 10-X number somewhere around 30 years ago.

Was promised a quarterly newsletter.  Never got one.

Was told about all these great local nets (at the time).  Never heard one, although in fairness, most were active while I was at work.

After the year was up, never bothered to renew.

Had more fun joining the Ghosts, as it turned out.  (This was an informal local group who ran 10 meter AM after midnight local time).  I think K4NQA and I are last of the Ghosts still around though; the rest have QSY'd to another plane of existence.

WN, Yah, I received about 3 news letters and never heard anything from them again. It was sort of fun being on their weekend contests though. Maybe they are just fading away now that 10 is getting dead and more dead.

I have a 10-10 number (68248) and received the quarterly newsletter while I was a dues paying member.  I haven't used 10 meters with any significance in many years. The 10 meter band seems dead most of the time. Conditions have not been good during the current cycle 24.

hey the organization formed in 1962 and has a website and maintains and updates records if you tell them you have changed callsigns, despite the way 10 meters swings like a roller coaster with the solar cycle... they have a contest coming up next weekend on Feb 4 and 5: http://www.hornucopia.com/contestcal/weeklycont.php?mode=custom&week=next#7354

i am always amazed how 10 meters *seems* dead until there is a contest and then, all of a sudden, the band starts popping with activity :D

i looked myself up and i guess i got my number in Nov. 1978 right before i went QRT from the ham bands for the most part until 3 decades later.  I am 10-10 number 14922 -> http://www.ten-ten.org/index.php/resources/tenten-lookup

if you had hopes the group would blossom into more than it has, what did you do to help it and what are your plans to help it grow going forward?

I usually have a rig "parked" on 28.380 & 28.800 @ 1800z. (except for Sunday).

Often I can work the West coast stations from W Tn.

BTW. the Winter Phone QSO party is Feb 4 - 5

Thank's for the info. on the QSO party!   I keep an 11 meter rig parked and squelched on 27.385 LSB.  When signals start breaking the squelch, 10 meters is usually open!

All those who said the received a couple 10-10 newsletters or never received one...  did you pay your yearly dues ?   Just like ARRL and other organizations , you don't get the newsletter/magazine unless you a member !   You can use your number forever , but you can't participate in most 10-10 activities unless a member. Been getting mine 10-10 News since 1986.
