For what purpose?  Not every piece of SDR software works with every radio.....so your result won't mean much.

Hi Greg,

I guess in an 'overall' sense, which one would you prefer over the others?

The SDR Console v3 (beta) blows all the rest away.  Hopefully there will be some sort of 100W SDR xcvr (ANAN?) running on it in 2017.

Greg:

But of course.   That makes this poll just as useful as all other polls, right?  :-)
Why should we ask something intelligent, like what the application is and what features are needed
for a specific purpose at hand? :-)      A superficial vague generalized poll is always more fun for the pollsters.

Poll:  Is the market for construction cranes shrinking?
========================
Please answer:  Which one of the following did you see most of during your morning freeway commute?

A.   Toyota Prius
B.   VolksWagon trailing a plume of illegal emissions
C.   Moped Scooter
D.   Construction Crane
========================

Gee, of course, a totally accurate, relevant, and conclusive result.
Since I saw more Toyota Prius', it is obvious that no one needs a construction
crane any longer :-)

HDSDR has some great things about it, but the version I use is not as ham user friendly as sdr-console.
There are also big differences between versions, and newer is not always better in every respect.

I like the sdr console (v3 now). I use the virtual receivers to tag all the signals in the band I'm on. I then note which receivers have activity that I want to come back to/keep an eye on.

In addition, since I have a rather modest rig/antenna, being able to see, right away, when a new signal appears helps. A good chunk of my dx contacts have been jumping on that new signal before the pile up appears.

Although not a contester, I enjoy some dx contacts during contests and enjoy special event stations. My sdrplay is a panadapter for my base rig. Although my rig has a modest panadapter on it, it can't touch that full screen display and the click to change frequency action.

For RX the feature set offered in SDRuno is about as good as it gets here. It runs great and looks spectacular.

Yes some of these WebSDR sites have nice setups. Mucho thanks to all who contribute 24 hour servers basically along with the sdr receivers, antennas, etc. so that we can peruse the bands around the world from their point of view.

Oh, and were any votes or remarks received for the QS1R 's native server and GUI, the SDRMax III and V?  Max II ( now superceeded) for example preceded a lot of what's out there by years.
HDSDR of course does run on a QS1R by virtue of a .dll which even incorporates the freq. correction from the QS1R server..
