Put down those phones and look up at the sky, start a garden, work a crossword puzzle.

Yeah, or jump into your pool and swim a few laps, or let a kite fly with your children, or ride a few miles on your bike, or learn to play a musical instrument. In any case, you should finally stop messing up your native language! :P

It could be when someone says "google this" that they want you to search for something online. It doesn't mean they've changed the vernacular. Also if you already know what google.com is then you already know what google this or google that means.
"Faxed that to me " means that the person sent something to someone else by using a fax machine.
"I came from CB" this usually means the person saying it used to be using CB radios before they came into the ham radio hobby. There are many ways in which people try to abbreviate their statements in one way or another.

I know what google.com. is.

I shun the modern computerized English heard so much today.

'Oh text me that.' One cannot 'text' something. The word text does not come
in the infinitive form. It exists only in the nominal.

Worse, 'He faxed that to me.' Fax is short for facsimilie and comes only in the nominal
form. How uncivillized we become.

Put down those phones and look up at the sky, start a garden, work a crossword puzzle.

Or study a topic you're unfamiliar with, such as linguistics where you'll learn the fact that languages change and evolve over time.
I like my linguistics with clam sauce.
