UA4WHX - DX-er of the Year / Century?
« on: December 28, 2007, 03:22:20 PM »

I have just received so many QSL's from Vlad's recent world trip to the African Continent. This is the third UA4WHX world wide dx-pedition that I know about - since I have only been a DX-er since 2001, and it just never ceases to amaze me - how many band fill slots he gives me, how many all time new one's he gives me, and the icing on the cake - the most beautiful, work of art QSL card's he sends out.

Anyway - all I can say is "thanks Vlad", and I wish you all the best in 2008 - thanks for so many great DX QSO's and so many FB QSL cards.

Vlad - if you are ever in the SF Bay Area, let me know - a couple DX clubs in the area want to take you out for great food and drink!

Skol, Cheers, etc

Best of 08 (new sunspot cycle soon!?!) and DX to you too - John.

My "other" hobby is photography, and I have studied many genres of photographic art, and I think Vlad's photography of the locals in each country he visits is just outstanding. He obviously has a great rapport with the people he photographs. He really should publish a photo - monograph book.

My "armchair traveller" experience is enhanced by his QSL's - sort of like an even better version of a National Geographic article.

Oh - I've received every single QSL card back from Vlad too - and pretty fast return given he piled up something like 300K Q's on his recent journey(s).

73,

Rich
