Thank you ONAIR. Its really not hard to get an HF net going. All you need is a few folks who are local to get started. We sometimes do this on 6m as well. These bands are great for local nets during this part of the solar cycle. Also, the antennas are not large so its possible for folks to get on with something simple. Many of our club members put up an OCF dipole which covers 40m, 20m, 10m and 6m. This gives them some decent DX and NA contacts on 40/20m and they can use 10/6m for our nets.
We've also started doing a CW practice net for folks in our club who are learning the code on 10m. We start in SSB phone mode to get organized and then switch to CW.
