Opened to California and Mexico today for me from Indiana.  My first HF contact in 15 years.

Given that any 10m open now is going to be at or near MUF, the skip range is going to be long and signals good while it lasts. But when at or near MUF you can go from good signal to no signal in a few seconds too.

29.6 FM Has been open around 20:00 to 21:00 into Southern Mexico, XE2 for the past 3 days in the Pacific Northwest.

Typical FM signals coming in at the MUF, DEAD FULL QUIETING with minimal fading.

Congrats!  10 Meters can open out of nowhere, so it's always best to keep an 11 meter radio in the shack on and squelched.

What he said.

Pick the even channels....2...3...6  and squelch it.  When you hear heterodynes....you're in business.   BAND OPENING!!!
