I have only seen one W6 spot - where the W6 was on the West Coast. But it didn't make sense - it was for 17M at 6 AM - when nothing much above 40M was open.

The other W6 calls in spots were for guys who live on the East Coast.

Do the guys at E44M know about grey line propagation - especially on 40M CW in the AM / PM? That and maybe 30M seem like the best bets.

Sounds EU and East Coast US are making it just fine though . . .

Oh well - hopefully the E44M crew get to some greyline for us out here on the left coast.

Probably not.

But, they may know about long path, just about everyone who plays around on HF hears about it soon after getting on HF.  SO, one could assume that people who are part of a DXpedetion have enough experience to know about propagation to different parts of the world as the world turns.

Take heart.  If you don't work them this time, you have the excitement of trying to work the station from E4.

They at least tried to work the US during the grey lines yesterday. EU has been coming through via the grey line, but now that I think about it - its been a very long time since I've heard the middle east - on any band and at any time during the day or night.

The 4X's used to come in gang busters during the AM grey line on 40M - way back in 2001 - 2005.

Oh well. At least EU is starting to come through on 160 - 30M in the morning. Maybe the ME will be in 2009  . . .

I need 7 more for DXCC Honor Roll, and at least we know that cycle 24 will start the steep incline pretty soon.

Of course, the 7 I need are mostly places that haven't been visited in a long time - heh heh.
