AM-1 Application
« on: August 10, 2017, 09:00:18 AM »

Unable to fill out and file AM-1 on line. Tried two different Browsers. I understand mail applications are not accepted. Any advice?

Got the application form completed with Adobe, digitally signed; no idea of the Email address for sending! Further reading indicates I should mail form through my chain of command. No director for Georgia listed, 4th area director's Email address dead.

AF Mars even more cryptic.

I hate to reply to my own post...83 people read the original and not one reply.

Adios, MARS!

Why ask on a ham site?  Contact the appropriate Army Mars director!

I have been trying for a couple of years. I can't get a reply and I am part of the federal SHARES program so go figure. AF Mars is very active. They are also very hidden. Army MARS says submit a signed application by e-mail and they will try to reply within 5 business days. I submitted an application two years ago and never heard a thing. I sent an e-mail off to the director of my SHARES region asking if he knew who the contact was in Florida for AF MARS and still have not received a reply from him. MARS may need women but evidently they don't need members.

KB4QAA

Because this site has an entire section dedicated to MARS which utilizes ham operators in their program. OK?

Also, the Coast Guard Aux. in the past had no real HF communications program. That has changed. They have one now and they are very active and good operators. I sent them an inquiry two days ago and had a reply and an application sent to me the same day with a very nice welcome and yes we could use you letter. You do not have to own a boat or be a boater to belong.
