630 and 2200 Meters
« on: September 18, 2017, 05:15:42 PM »

Hey I was looking at the new bands and noticed that my reception shows serious harmonic bleed over from the AM band on both 630 and 2200 Meters. The Flex 5000 is usually very good with adjacent frequency selection and filtering. So I wonder if you guys are also getting the harmonics coming in on those bands? Did you see AM bleed?

Those bands are below AM band so I don't think it's "Harmonic bleed". I think what folks commonly call "AM bleed" is intermod.

Intermod in front end seems much more likely and appropriate filtering between antenna and rig can help here.

I bought this filter from Universal Radio to address this problem on my 1500

Awesome that will be the fix then. If you have the Flex and the same issue then I am sure this is what I need.
