Wish I had more notice. I'm now hearing WI2XLQ from Virginia on 486 kHz AM weakly in Saint Louis at 10 PM local time on Christmas night. This commemorative event has been run for the past few years apparently.

"Brian, WA1ZMS, reported the transmission of his Christmas “Fessenden” / Heising modulation transmission and supplied these comments:

“Like in years past, WI2XLQ is now on-air on 486kHz full carrier AM for the annual transmission. Same 5 min audio loop as always. The exciter is the 1921 Heising MOPA and the amp is the SSPA Hafler 9505. 200w carrier out of the amp into the T-antenna. Will be QRV for at least 24 hrs.”
