Remote control of Yaesu rigs
« on: February 08, 2018, 05:54:32 PM »

I have succeeded in getting my Kenwood TS2000 controllable over the internet using the ARCP-2000 software and teamviewer.  I am interested in the Yaesu FTDX5000 or other dual receive, 200 watt rig, and wonder if there is any software that will do full computer control of one of these radios-meaning it can control the CW memory keyer memories, and the voice keyer memories.  I can do this with the Kenwood software.  Is there any software that can do this with Yaesu rigs?
I have done some searching around on the internet but haven't really found anything that can definitely control the CW and voice memories.

You might take a look at the PCC-5000 software and see if it will do what you want.

That looks perfect!  I don't know why I couldn't find this before.  The manual looks like it is made by Yaesu, but it didn't show up on the FTDX5000 page on the Yaesu website, and Universal Radio didn't list it as an accessory for the FTDX5000.  Is there programming like this for other Yaesu rigs as well?

I take that back, it is on the Yaesu website, not sure how I missed it.  Maybe I thought it was for firmware updating. Thanks so much for this information.  Now to talk myself into buying a FTDX5000.  The XYL has already given me permission!

If a CAT software is available for a Yaesu radio, it will be listed in the files section of that particular radio's Yaesu webpage.
And, it is provided by Yaesu free... no third party stuff...
